SUMMARY:Charity Golf Day 2024 - The Renaissance Club
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to our biennial Charity Golf Day\, sponsored by Tomorrow Today\, on Thursday 9th May.  We are delighted to be being hosted by The Renaissance Club once again. Only a handful of opportunities exist for non-members to play this exceptional course. Expect an incredible afternoon of golf\, competing for our unique trophy. With surprises on the course\, followed by Dinner and Auction.\n  \n \n  \nThe Venue \n\n\n\nThe Renaissance Club\, home of the Genesis Scottish Open\, nestles on 300 acres of the famous golfing coastline of the Firth of Forth. At one time The Renaissance Club made up a portion of the 1000 acres of Archerfield Estate\, a famous and historic property that includes an old manor home from the 17th century. The club is the only portion of the estate that still remains on the natural windswept dunes common to the links terrain along this coastline. \n\n\n\n\nThe condition of the course is paramount and has already resulted in the Renaissance Club being approached with regard to hosting major international tournaments. At over 7300 yards\, par 71\, the back tees are not for the fainthearted. Fear not as the variety of tees allows members to mix and match teeing grounds on a hole-by-hole basis\, usually dependent on the wind! \n\n\n\nHow to Book your Team \n1. Please download and save this editable form to your device: CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR 4-BALL TEAM PLACE\n2. Complete the form\, and pay by Bank Transfer\n3. Please return by email to Debs McLaughlin who will confirm your place once your team payment has been received.\n\n\n\nThe event \n\n\n\nThe Renaissance Club has generously given Muirfield Riding Therapy exclusive use of the Clubhouse and the Course for the event.\nThe format is a team four ball with a shotgun start from designated tees at 1.30pm. Scottish Golf or Club Handicap Index – handicaps must be declared on booking. The maximum playing handicap will be set at 36. A Fore Caddy will join teams without a Renaissance club member\, to improve your experience of playing the course. There will be splendid prizes for winning teams\, for the Longest Drive\, Nearest the Pin\, Beat the Pro\, and Hole in One. A light lunch will set you up for play\, with complimentary drinks served throughout the day\, and evening Dinner will be a real highlight\, and our auction will enrich the experience. \n\n\n\nItinerary \nGuests are welcome to make use of the practice ground from 10.30am onwards                                                                                              \n\n12noon Registration and light lunch \n1pm Welcome Speech and pick up your scorecards \n\n\n1.15pm Guests begin to make their way to their tees \n1.30pm Tee-off – 18 hole Shotgun Start \n\n\n6pm Hand in scorecards and drinks in the Lounge \n7.15pm Guests are invited to Dinner\, Address and Charity Auction \n9.15pm The Prize Giving Ceremony \n\n\n9.30pm Formal end of the event\, guests welcome to stay on till midnight \n\n \n  \nYour motivation \nThis Muirfield Riding Therapy Golf Day at The Renaisance Club is our most important fund raising opportunity of 2024. Our charity is one of the largest dedicated Riding for the Disabled Association centres in Scotland. It is fully self-funded\, and our service is provided free-of-charge to ensure it is accessible to all who need it. Our aim is to ensure that you and your playing partners enjoy a wonderful outing and are inspired to support Muirfield Riding Therapy on the day and perhaps in the future as well. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
