SUMMARY:Art Show - Dukes of West Barns
DESCRIPTION:Muirfield Riding Therapy is proud to announce the upcoming Muirfield Riding Therapy Art Show by Dukes of West Barns\, a fundraising art exhibition dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for Muirfield Riding Therapy.\n  \nTaking place over four days\, from Friday 4th to Monday 7th July 2025\, the show will be held at The Art Club at Dukes of West Barns\, 5 Duke Street\, West Barns\, Dunbar\, EH42 1UR. Doors will be open daily from 10am to 4pm\, with free entry. \n  \nThis inspiring exhibition will showcase a carefully curated collection of works from some of Scotland’s most respected and prolific artists. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to view and purchase artworks across a wide range of styles and media\, all in support of Muirfield Riding Therapy’smission: delivering life-enhancing therapeutic riding sessions to children and adults with disabilities and additional needs. \n  \n \nMuirfield Riding Therapy is a volunteer-led charity and the only provider in East Lothian affiliated with the national Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). The therapy offered at MRT makes a lasting difference in the lives of its riders—physically\, mentally\, and emotionally. \n  \n\nArt has the power to move and to connect. Through this exhibition\, we’re bringing together the creative community to support another deeply transformative practice—riding therapy\, \n\n  \nsaid Robyn Wade\, Creative Director at Dukes of West Barns. \n  \n\nWe’re thrilled to be partnering with Muirfield Riding Therapy and to help spotlight the incredible work they do. \n\n\nAll proceeds from artwork sales will contribute directly to the ongoing work of Muirfield Riding Therapy\, helping to sustain and expand its services for those who benefit most. \n  \n \n\nMuirfield Riding Therapy’s Fundraising Manager\, Debs McLaughlin said\, \n  \n\nWe are delighted to be partnering with Dukes of West Barns for this Art Show\, and to have the support of such a wide range of incredible artists. Like Dukes\, community is very important to us. We couldn’t do what we do without the support we receive from all around the county. DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to announce entries for our 17th annual Summer Show for Horses & Ponies are now open.\n\nEnter the Summer Show for Horses and Ponies 2025 – online entries only\, via HorseMonkey.com where you will also find the Full Schedule and Rules. \n  \nThe Show\, held thanks to the kind permission of The Morrison Family\, at West Fenton\, and sponsored by Andrew Black Haulage and Storage Ltd\, is a Qualifier for the prestigious Caledonian Showing Championships 2025. The event is one of East Lothian’s largest horse Shows\, with 48 Classes over 7 Rings –\n\n\nShow Jumping\nMountain & Moorland (Championship Sponsor: Paris Steele)\nVeterans & Coloured (Championship Sponsor: Drem Timber & Fencing Ltd)\nWorking Hunter (Championship Sponsor: Garden Stirling Burnet)\nRidden (Championship Sponsor: Garden Solutions)\nHandy Pony\nShow Classes\nFun Classes\nClear Round\n\n  \nFacilities\nThe event is held at the West Fenton Farm and Livery\, EH39 5AL\, and as such there is limited parking\, meaning this is not a public spectator event – competitors and their family and friends only please. Our cafe runs all day with hot and cold food and drinks\, and plenty of sweet treat to keep you fuelled!  We’ll also be running our Preloved Equestrian stall and a tombola. \n  \nFundraiser for Muirfield Riding Therapy\n\nThe event is a fundraiser for Muirfield Riding Therapy\, with all proceeds supporting our work. A member group of Riding for the Disabled\, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. \nWe provide equine-facilitated therapeutic opportunities to individuals with physical\, cognitive\, and emotional challenges\, fostering improved well-being and quality of life. The joy\, progress\, and confidence we see in our participants inspire us to strive for even greater impact.\n Built and run by over 200 volunteers from across the county and beyond\, we have welcomed people of all ages since 1989. We strive to break down barriers; we offer our service free-of-charge to ensure it is accessible to all who need it. We rely entirely on fundraising to help us raise the £175k+ it costs to run our Centre each year.\nBy taking part in our Summer Show\, your support will help us continue to provide pioneering\, life-changing therapeutic equine experiences. Together\, we can achieve remarkable milestones and create lasting positive change. You become part of a community dedicated to improving lives and making a real difference.
