Muirfield Riding Therapy (MRT) is looking for its next Chair of the Board of Trustees – someone who wants to help lead an organisation where care, connection and impact sit at the heart of everything we do.
MRT is a place where quiet, life-changing moments happen every single week. Children, young people and adults arrive carrying anxiety, uncertainty or low confidence – and leave feeling calmer, stronger and more connected. Our ponies have a way of meeting people exactly where they are, and our staff and volunteers create an environment rooted in joy, belonging and empowerment.
An ambitious next chapter
We’re now entering an ambitious next chapter, and we’re looking for a Chair who can hold both the heart and the rigour of the organisation. Someone who understands strong governance and strategy, but who also wants to know our people, meet our families, spend time on site, and be part of the living, breathing community that makes MRT what it is.
Voluntary role
This voluntary role would suit someone who truly believes in the power of our work and wants to help it flourish. Chair-level governance experience in the charity sector, fundraising confidence, and a unifying leadership style is desirable.
There’s no remuneration, but the reward is extraordinary: seeing confidence grow, anxiety soften, and lives quietly change through the gentle presence of ponies and people who care deeply.
