Welcome to our first Virtual Show! Run by Muirfield Riding Therapy, mainly for RDA riders, there are classes for able bodied riders too. All proceeds from the Show will support the charity.
We are delighted to announce that entries for our first ever Virtual Show are now open! Click the link below to see the Class Schedule and to enter. There are 26 Classes in total to choose from –
18 Dressage Classes
6 Show Jumping Classes
2 Countryside Challenge Classes (kindly sponsored by Caledonian Horticulture)
- Entry is £10 (+ horsekymonkey.com processing fee) per Class
- Lovely rosettes for each Class
- You must send in your video of your chosen Class(es) by 12 noon on Sunday 28th July.
- Our experienced Judges are looking forward to viewing your entries.

1. Each recording must have been produced in ‘one take’ and not edited in any way.
2. All video’s must state clearly the class, participant’s name, group name, date video was taken.
3. Always ensure that RDA Safeguarding polices and guidence are adhered to at all times.
4. Ensure that you only have the horse and participants combination in the film that you are recording.
5. Make sure all competitors and leaders are wearing the correct competition dress and no inappropriate clothing is worn. Competitors must wear normal competition dress as per RDA Rule Book. Please note this doesn’t have to be beige breeches, shirt and jacket. RDA sweatshirts and smart coloured jodhpurs are acceptable.
6. For those classes that have a leader or side walker then correct clothing and footwear must be worn.
7. Make sure all tack and equipment is in line with rules in the RDA Competition Rulebook.
8. Please make sure you delete the video from your device once you have uploaded it onto You Tube/Horse Monkey and recived an email confirmation.
9. All competitiors to have completed the Filming Permission Release Form.
10. Do not share the video content with anyone else apart from uploading the image onto You Tube and Horse Monkey.
11. Please make sure you use your own device to record the film.
12. The device you have used for the recording will need to have a secure Wi-Fi connection to upload the video onto Horse Monkey.
13. Competitors must be medically fit for the activities they undertake. It is the responsibility of all competitiors to ensure that they are medically fit to compete. Where necessary their parents/guardians must take this responsibility.
14. Equines must be fit and sensible for the activities they undertake.
15. The use of any herbal, natural or chemical product to affect the performance of a horse/pony in a calming(tranquillising) manner is strictly forbidden under RDA rules.
16. Horses and ponies must be five years old and over.
17. Any height of horse or pony is allowed in any class.
18. Bitless bridles are not permitted in any discipline.
19. Each horse/pony may only be videoed a maximum of five ridden classes incluning lead rein on one day. These must not comprise of more than four in any one discipline.
20. It is the sole responsibility of riders/guardians to ensure that at all times while on hoseback, they wear correctly fitted protective headgear, to current stardard, and that chin straps must be securely fastened.
