Did you know…
Gullane used to be renowned for racehorse training? One such trainer was George Dawson, father of Mathew Dawson the greatest racehorse trainer at the time. The Dawson family lived on the site of what is now Stamford Hall, which was named after ‘Stamford’ the racehorse trained by George Dawson! Read about the fascinating history of the Dawson Family
There may not be racehorses anymore but you never know, there might be a therapy pony or two making a special appearance at our event…! 🐴

All proceeds support Muirfield Riding Therapy. With huge thanks to the Lang family, current owners of Stamford Hall, for hosting us.

The Big Barn Dance

We are up for a big celebration this summer, and we invite you to join us for our Big Barn Dance here at our Indoor Arena on a very special weekend – Saturday 4th June!

One of the busiest and most popular ceilidh bands in Scotland, Clappy Doo, will be here. Experienced caller Graeme will ensure you have fun. Plus, experienced line dancing instructor, Heather Baxter will also be taking you through your paces! Be sure to wear your dancing boots – cowboy, wellies, riding boots – as our Arena surface gets very messy.

Food & Drink

The event runs from 6pm – 9pm, ticket price includes food from our big food van the ‘Chef Shack’ – boxed, takeaway-style Mexican food (thanks to our friends at Baxter Storey), you won’t be hungry!

We are not on a bus route. You may want to book your taxi in advance, there are plenty of local taxi firms.
