What a great day we had at the recent RDA Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders Regional Qualifiers, at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre, aiming for the RDA National Championships in July.  Huge congratulations to everyone who took part in both non-qualifying and qualifying classes, we are very proud to announce successful qualifications for a second year in a row!

Thank you to all our volunteers from across the organisation who went along to help Saturday Coaches Caroline, Kym and Isla, and Wednesday PM Coach Joyce and their support crews.  We came home with a wonderful twenty qualifications, thirteen in the ridden classes, and seven in the arts and crafts classes.

REWARDING ENDEAVOUR TROPHY

George riding Beeby was also the first recipient of the new Irene Carter Memorial Trophy. The trophy was donated by Irene’s family to the region in her memory after her sad passing a few weeks ago.
The trophy recognises participants who are entered in a non-qualifying class and show the greatest joy, engagement and participation in the event. We’re so proud of our George on Beeby for bringing it home to MRT in its first year!

PARENTS’ FUNDRAISING

The parents of seven of the qualifying riders are fundraising to cover the costs of their kids participating in RDA competitive sporting equine events this year, now including the RDA National Championships at Hartpury in July!
